When Mabel and Dipper arrived in Gravity Falls, their first stop was to the Mystery Shack. “How do you think the Stans are holding up?” Mabel pondered out loud to her brother. He shrugged his shoulders.

“Don't know. Last we saw of them, they finally stopped going at each other's throats and started acting like brothers again,” he replied. “So who knows how they are right now.” When they finally arrived at the Mystery Shack, they realized that their great uncles wouldn't have a chance to bicker since they were beating down a rogue Gnome Giant...so basically a Gnome as big as the average human adult.

“That's what happens when you try to steal photos of my niece,” Stan yelled at him. “Now get outta here before I bust out Mabel's golf clubs!” The Gnome got on his feet and ran for his life into the forest.

Ford caught Dipper and Mabel in his sights. “Ah, kids, welcome back,” he greeted. “Sorry for the scene. Gnome's have been a thorn in our side for the past week. I think they found out you two were coming to visit.”

“It's alright. They're never much of a problem anyways,” Dipper said. “How have you two been doing?”

“Yeah, Stans! You two haven't been fighting since we left you alone, have you?” Mabel said with a playful tone.

“Only occasionally,” Stanford said.

“At least twice every month,” Stanley added. Mabel facepalmed and Dipper snickered under his breath. “Hey, Dip, you still got that journal?” He reached into his luggage and pulled out Stanford's third journal, while Mabel reached into hers and pulled out the second journal.

“Good to have these back with us,” Ford commented. “It's been a bit difficult to make due with just the first journal.”

“Aw that's enough of that talk, come on in!” Stan said. “Go on up and unpack your things and I'll order pizza.”
Mabel pumped her fist into the air and gave a whoop. “Yeah, pizza, pizza, pizza, pizza!” Dipper went ahead to the attic and dumped everything from his luggage, sliding his journal under the bed. He reached into his jacket and pulled out a sheet of paper and a pen. He crossed off Stan and Ford off of a list of names and smiled. “What's that?” Mabel asked.

“Gah! Jeez, sis, don't scare me like that!” He looked down at the list and explained. “I made a list of people to see now that we're back.”

“Why aren't Candy and Grenda on the list?”

“Because you can just invite them for a sleepover when we're done.”

Mabel looked over the list. “Wow, you even put Pacifica on the list!”

“Wait, what's that supposed to mean?”

“Well, you're always tearing into her family when I mention them,” she pointed out.

“I tear into her parents, not her. Her parents tricked me and the rest of the town and Pacifica fixed the problem her parents refused to.” Dipper finished unpacking his stuff and made his way downstairs, still fixated on the map. “It's already pretty late. It'll be better for the both of us if we start tomorrow.”As he passed through the shack, Stan snatched the list from him.

“What's this?”

“A list of people to visit and say hi to tomorrow,” Dipper said. “Can I have my list back now?” Stan handed the sheet back to Dipper and he slipped it back into his jacket. The shack was closed, so Wendy and Soos would be home by now.

“I can't wait to see everyone again,” he began to think. “Soos, Wendy and the gang, Candy, and Grenda...And...” His thought was stopped short when he heard Mabel shout out “grappling hook,” accompanied by a loud bang like metal against wood. Fifteen minutes later the pizza delivery guy arrived.

“That'll be ten-fifty,” Robbie said.

“Woah, Robbie, you're a pizza guy now?!” Mabel said in surprise and wonder.
“Hey Mabel, I didn't know you were here,” he said. “Where's the dork?” Robbie didn't seem to mean in a malicious or hurtful way. Dipper stepped towards the front door. “What's up, Dip?”

Dipper felt a little awkward. Robbie seemed much more...friendly than he did five years ago. “Hey Robbie, how are things going with Tambry?”

Before the conversation could go any further, Stan paid for the pizza and Robbie had to leave. He had a job now and he couldn't leave it hanging. Dipper was surprised by how...non-jerky Robbie had addressed him. Guess things really have changed around town.

Later, after the pizza was all eaten up and everyone was all exhausted, everyone hit the sack.

Our first day back in Gravity Falls seems to have been a pretty good one. Our great uncles seem to have everything under control with all the weird stuff here and all of Gruncle Ford's journals are under our possession, so nothing catastrophic can happen. Robbie doesn't seem to be what he used to be any-

“Hey bro, put that silly draft-le away and go to sleep,” Mabel said.

Dipper raised a brow and repeated, “Draft-le?”

Mabel nodded with a goofy grin. “Journal. Draft. Draft-le!” she elaborated. Dipper snickered and closed the journal, sliding it back under his bed.

“Tomorrow we catch up with everyone.” He laid his head down on his pillow and closed his eyes, drifting off into sleep.

First chapter of my Gravity Falls fic. I really hope I wrote it well enough.
